Convex to widely convex to flat at maturity, 25–50+ mm in diameter. Reddish cinnamon brown that becomes golden brown and pale yellow as it ages, with borders that are almost white. Surface dry, with no universal veil, remains on the cap (spots). Fast-bruising blue-green flesh turns white.
